The Finance Office would like to inform families that statements have been posted home. If you believe your statement is not up to date please contact the Finance Office.

We would also like to prompt families that may be experiencing financial hardship due to a change of circumstance; such as ceasing employment or extensive medical expenses, to please contact the Finance Office to apply for government assistance. The Finance Team can assist with completing these forms; alternatively applications can be completed online with the below link.

National Volunteer Week

If you have been helping out at the school this year, you should have by now received an invite to this Friday’s morning tea, being held in your honour as part of National Volunteer Week celebrations.

NAPLAN – Years 7 and 9

For parents of Years 7 and 9 Students.

Your child will be undertaking NAPLAN tests next week and for Thursday’s Numeracy test (May 17th) a calculator will be required. Could you please ensure your child has a calculator for this test.

A mobile phone will not be acceptable to use in this instance.

Senior Girls Volleyball

Congratulations to our Senior Girls Volleyball team who narrowly missed out on playoffs yesterday at the VISTA Volleyball Carnival.

The girls drew the final set and with 1 set a piece already in the bag, organisers were required to count back to see which team would progress. What a fantastic effort from all involved!

Mother’s Day Stall

Our Mother’s Day Stall is open tomorrow

A reminder that students in Reception through to Year 5 will be visiting the stall with their class tomorrow. Higher year levels are welcome to purchase gift at recess and lunch time.

Gifts range in price from 50c to $6.  Gift wrapping included.  Funds raised will be used to improve student facilities.

Year 10 Work Experience

Year 10 students are currently studying PLP which is a compulsory subject in their SACE subject pattern.

A key part of PLP is work experience. All Year 10 students needs to arrange work experience for Week 4 of this term  (May 21st to May 25th ).  All paper work for this work experience needs to be urgently returned to your PLP teacher by Monday May 14th .

 

Stargazing Live World Record Attempt – The Heights Observatory

Join the South Australian Astronomical Society at The Heights School Observatory on Wednesday 23rd May for an evening of fun and excitement as we try to break a Guinness World Record! This free community event will include a live screening of Stargazing Live with Brian Cox. A gold coin donation will be requested on entry to help the local community groups putting on this event.
